Mission. Regional public organization "Ecological and humanitarian center «Etna» - public organization of the Buryat Republic, focused on environmental education and socially meaningful activities.

The purposes of creation: the formation of the value orientations of the younger generation through environmental and humanitarian education and the development of social partnership.

Main activities:

- Environmental education;

- Community involvement in solving social and environmental problems in the region;

- The development of civic pupils and students through involvement in environmental activities;

- Education of ethnic tolerance among young people;

- Raising awareness of the society;

- Promoting healthy lifestyles;

- Development of social activity of the local community.

NGO «Etna» - a regional organizer of the national competition of educational research environmental projects «Man on Earth» and interregional competition «Instrumental research environment».

Implementation of the projects and the results

From 2008 to 2013. a number of environmental assaults to clean shorelines of Lake Baikal with the maximum number of participants to 200 people each, as well as environmental landings in Ulan-Ude to clean the shoreline of the Selenga River, park of  S. Oreshkova.

NGO «Etna» - one of the organizers of the first Republican rally of young ecologists (July 2009). Participation in the international conference «Living Lakes» (2009).

September 2009 - autumn Baikal Eco-schools on the basis of the Baikal Museum of SB RAS (village Listvyanka, Irkutsk region);

October 2009 - the activities of the International Day of Climate Action;

November 2010 - participation in the opening of the fair commercial and social initiatives youth «Ideas. Inventions. Innovation»;

September 2010 and September 2014 - at the International environmental education center «Istomino» held 1 and 2 and the 3rd Baikal eco-school volunteers.

In the period 2008-2013. NGO «Etna» participated in the organization and methodical

ensuring environmental annual summer schools (camps) on the basis of «Gymnasium  №14»: Summer chemical-ecological school, «Academy of discovery», «Baykalenok», «City masters», «City of Masters-2», «Water School», «School Climate». Result - 3

place in the national contest ecological camps in 2011, 2 in 2012

In 2011, the NGO «Etna» initiated and participated in organizing and conducting the republican scientific-practical conference of students in the third Samaevski readings (Oka district).

The organization participated in actions in defense of Lake Baikal (2010), in the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster (2011), forest fire prevention, the promotion of the rational use of energy and water resources.

Experience more than 50 times positioned at seminars and conferences at all levels: from the city to the international. Successfully developing interregional and international cooperation. Participation in the Russian-German project «Water for Life», participated in the 3rd International Environmental Film Festival «Water and Film» (Marseilles, 2012). In January and September 2010 - Participation in the seminar «Interaction of government, non-governmental and non-profit organizations in the US in the field of environmental education» (Ulan-Ude). In January 2011 and

April 2013th - participation in Russian-American seminar on environmental education.

In February 2010, took part in the Russian-Mongolian meeting on Environmental Cooperation (Ulan-Baatar, Mongolia). Winning the competition methodological developments that took place in the framework of the International Project on climate protection FEE

(2011, 2012).

Among our partners - environmental organizations (government and NGO) of the Buryat Republic, Irkutsk and Amur regions, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Germany, Mongolia, USA.
